Look at percentages to the GDP, not actual dollar amounts. You may even come off as someone with a hint of intelligence.

BTW, when inflation is adjusted, GWtW grossed $906,939,759.

CONGRESS controls the pursestrings because only Congress can approve the federal budget. Presidents can submit budgets, but they have no control over spending. That's up to Congress.

The country, it seems, would have been screwed up regardless of who came into place. Besides that, it seemed that bush and gore were on the same page about a number of issues in the 2000 election, so most (if not all) of these problems would have occurred with gore.
