Not sure how many of you saw this but Malone poked a fan in the face during warmups before game 3. Malone has been in the league for 19 years, no doubt he has faced heckling before. He was completely out of line. You always hear about how great a guy Malone is but after this and his elbow to Darrick Martin in the Minnesota series I am losing more and more respect for him every game. Karl Malone needs to grow up.
<a href='http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2004/news/story?id=1821849' target='_blank'>Malone not to be charged....but.....</a> the idiots that provoked him might be.
Still think Malone is the ******* here?

That guy had no business going out to the court. Malone also had no business pointing at him and touching his face with his finger. Malone had all the right to talk back at the guy, but not to touch him.
I agree that Malone wasn't trying to hurt the guy and I also don't think the guy was going to try and hurt Malone. However, IMO they were both wrong.

Was what Malone did worse than Mike Curtis laying out the guy running around on the football field? To paraphrase Mr. Curtis "that man broke 15 city ordinances and I enforced them."
Besides, "Happy" is obviously a complete and utter moron. He bought scalped tickets (which is illegal), then made a stink when his drunken tirade got him "assaulted". Apparently the alcohol forgot to tell him that if he tried to press charges, they might look at ALL the factors that evening, like how he got there.

Yes I still think Malone is an *** and I dont care what the guy did. Athletes get heckeled all the time, if Malone cant take it like a man he is in the wrong business. Of course he shouldnt be charged with assault (or anything for that matter) but he was still completely out of line. The man is 40 years old, 6'9 260+ he needs to grow up.

Those drunks who paid 20 grand for their tickets still have freedom of speech. Karl Malone is a ********, he needs to learn some self control.

Karl Malone doesn't have freedom of speech?
The "angels" were told repeatedly by security to quit. They ignored security and a Michigan law making paying for scalped tickets illegal.
