have the best special teams in the league. the Panthers have not given up any points in the 1st Quarter. Special teams have given up two TDs in the first quarter. agaisnt Tennesse

They were odd plays, though.
#1 - Short kick to Brad Hoover, who doesn't usually field kicks. He lets it bounce and then tries to pick it up, bobbles it, and then finally gets it... in time to get it pulled away from him. I was at the stadium, so I didn't have a good view -- but it seemed like he was on the ground and he had possession of the ball. If so, the play should have been over there, instead of when the Titans guys came in and took the ball away from him.
#2 - Titans go for it on fourth down in their own territory. The Panthers have no clue, except for Steve Smith -- who is running forward before the ball is snapped. Turns out it would have been better for him to stay back, because nobody can tackle the guy who catches the ball and he goes in for the score.
The game was over at that point. When you throw in two more turnovers by the Panthers, they didn't have a prayer (not against a QB the likes of McNair).

he never had possesion on the ground. he hit it away from him and Titans jumped on it.
