Unbelievable that people would stoop so low to show up with garbage like this for a man's funeral.

Evil is definately more rampant in this country than i had previously thought. God will hold a special place for them. To bad we cant find out their names and go to a funeral of one of their love ones and yell "your father is going to hell", i bet they would have a differing opinion on that situation.

They're all kinda like Ted Rall. They just want someone to see them doing something. Ignore them and they'll go away.

I actually feel sorry for people like that. What's it like to be that consumed with hatred?

Bingo. The worst thing that can happen to people like that is to be ignored.

Though I don't support going to a persons funeral and completely chastising them, these people do have the right to assemble. Reagan, like all politicians and even actors, are public figures and once you are in the publics eye you are subject to appraisal and/or scrutiny all the time. Lethemeul is right, just ignore them.

Not everyone believes that we need to spend over $400 million to honor a man that purposely defied a congressionally passed law (among other things). Get over it.

Those red-blooded Americans have a 1st Amendment right to freedom of speech, and those of us who put leaders like Reagan on an emotional pedestal are likely to be easily offended.

We all know good and well when Clinton dies there will be similar signs erected (no pun intended) in his honor.

As much as it pains me, I will have to agree with you, and I will think just as poorly of the ones holding the "Clinton in Hell" signs as I will those holding the Reagan signs.

My point had nothing to do with the 1st ammendment, but more to do with decency and taste. Just because you have the right to do something, doesn't make it tasteful and decent.

Unfortunately, "decency and taste" wasn't something our forefathers addressed when coming up with the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

---

Besides, I bet there are plenty of folks (and maybe some on this forum) who think all of this excessive Reagan praise is pushing the bounds of "decency and taste".
