Haley Barbour, the first human/rottweiler hybrid, became the governor of Mississippi yesterday, defeating incumbent Ronnie Musgrove.
Barbour was concocted by scientists back in the 1940s when Democrats traditionally controlled politics in Mississippi. The scientists believed if they cross bred human sperm with the eggs of a female rottweiler, they could construct a hybrid being that could eventually rise to state and national office on the laurels of his hefty jowls and his southern drawl. Scientists knew the only way to stem the tide of mid-century Democrats was to create a Republican that resembled near human features, but the temper and appetite of the state dog, the Rottweiler.
Now that Barbour is the governor-elect of Mississippi, he commented, "I caint wait til I git 'ma paws own thay-at victry feast!"
The Barbours will move into the governor's mansion just after the first of the year. The mansion comes complete with a fenced in back yard for Barbour to romp and roam as he takes breaks from running the government of the state of Mississippi.
The backyard of the governor's mansion is complete with a kennel and full-time trainer. The trainer will work with Barbour and Musgrove to assure that a complete transition of power ensues. The trainer will also see that Musgrove does not get bitten in the process. Since Barbour has a ravenous appetite, trainers and other handlers working with him on the campaign have been shopping for muzzles.
After the transition of power, Barbour hopes to start taking a bite out of crime, and some pork-loin roasts as well. The human/rottweiler hybrid is confident he can do so seeing how he openly admits he is a walking stomach.

I'm not sure if that was a slap in the face or a compliment because that's exactly what Mississippi needs, a no-bull**** leader to run the state. If it WAS an insult, you're right, Mississippi was MUCH better with Musgrove. Just look at all the prosperity you guys enjoyed under his inept stewardship of the state. :stupid: The Democrats are the main reason Mississippi is in the shape it is today, and one of the main reasons my ****** is sitting in Georgia.

Aright RebelKev, since it is obvious you aren't the smartest one of the bunch, I'll go slow so you can understand.

1. I think it is obvious that my previous post was an insult to the way Barbour looks (and eats).

2. Logic 101: just because I don't like Barbour, in no way does that mean that I do like Musgrove. Thinking as you do is sloppy and lazy thinking. What you said in your post is the logical fallacy known as a false dichotomy. There were other choices running for governor and I could easily support those choices over Haley Barbour or Ronnie Muskrat. More choices existed and, furthermore, we live in a world that is full of multiple choices. It is not as black and white as you may perceive it.

3. You don't live here so you have absolutely no stake whatsover in Mississippi politics. If you are not registered to vote here then you don't count and have no basis whatsoever to criticize imcumbents or candidates. Since you aren't here in good-'ol Mississippi, it is as if you don't exist!

Now git out!

I do have a stake in Mississippi. Next?

Oh, and I may be there this weekend if you wish to take it up in person.

Are you a registered voter in the state of Mississippi? If no, then you have no basis to complain about any politico or candidate because you cannot legally vote here.

On your second point: is them fightin' words?

First off, everyone has a stake at state elections, I.e. California, because a sorry state usually gets more federal tax dollars. Mississippi is a poor ****** state due to the sorry-assed politicians that ran it. The boats were supposed to poor millions and millions into the economy. Yeah, to pad the pockets of corrupt politicians and enhance the roads in front of the casinos.

Second off, you can take them the way you want to take them but no one is going to tell me to "git out" of a state I spent most of my life in, went to elementary, Jr. High, High School, and college in, and have most of my family residing in. Not going to happen today, tomorrow, or any other time. You can take 'em for what they're worth.

RebelKev, you take this message board thing a little too seriously.

You have to consider the fact that I am a smart-arsed, sarcastic a-hole. I'm basically pulling everyone's chain around here. So, take my posts with a grain a salt.

Joe, uh..no!

LSU is really, really good and Ole Miss is just lucky.

Let me actually watch the game ( I taped it because of freakin soccer, man). But I'll get back to you on our performance vs. AU.

Let's not piss of the LSU fans, because I don't think we can win against them.

Go Bammer this weekend (vs. LSU).

What we will need vs. LSU is a night time kickoff and a rocking and raucus crowd!
