What do you suggest should be done about this....???

Al Qaida commander 'anticipates' 100,000 Americans dead in attack

Special to World Tribune.com
MIDDLE EAST MEDIA RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Thursday, November 13, 2003
Al-Qal'a (The Fortress) an Islamist Internet forum, posted the first of a two-part interview with a person who introduced himself as Abu Salma Al-Hijazi, one of the Al Qaida commanders closest to Osama bin Laden.(1) The interview was conducted in Iraq, south of Faluja. The article notes that Al-Hijazi was surrounded by five masked men carrying missiles as well as personal weapons. The following are excerpts from the interview:

In regard to rumors about a large-scale attack against the U.S. during the month of Ramadan, Al-Hijazi said that "a huge and very courageous strike" will take place and that the number of infidels expected to be killed in this attack, according to primary estimates, exceeds 100,000. He added that he "anticipates, but will not swear, that the attack will happen during Ramadan."

He further stated that the attack will be carried out in a way that will "amaze the world and turn Al Qaida into [an organization that] horrifies the world until the law of Allah is implemented, actually implemented, and not just in words, on His land... You wait and see that the balance of power between Al Qaida and its rivals will change, all of a sudden, Allah willing."

Regarding Al Qaida detainees, Al-Hijazi said: "We follow their situation closely... the collaborating governments will pay the price for capturing these heroes who want to revive the glory of their nation and shake off the dust of humiliation and disgrace."
Al-Hijazi added that the "collaborating and treacherous" governments should know that Al Qaida has a long reach and its members enjoy popularity that will not end just because apostate governments detain hundreds of Al Qaida's members. "As soon as the governments detain one of our people, ten like him join us... this is no secret."

Al-Hijazi said that Al Qaida instructed its members not to confront the governments of Islamic countries and clarified that Americans are the main target of the organization, wherever they may be, in order to cause their disintegration and collapse, even if it takes a long time. "We are patient," he added, "our patience will only end with the collapse of America and its agents."

Al-Hijazi also said: "There is no doubt that the demise of America and its collapse will lead to the collapse of these fragile regimes that depend on it... We will not stop until we establish the Islamic Caliphate and until Allah's law is implemented in His land."

When asked about the recent bombing in Riyadh, Al-Hijazi referred to Saudi media reports

Let me ask you this Rick, do you think that what he proclaims is even possible??? Didn't Saddam say something before Gulfwar 1 that "Americans would be swimming in their own blood"? Remember Baghdad Bob and his outrageous statements?? If the US military does its job, and stays alert, I dont think there is anything to worry about. Wouldn't you agree? These clowns hiding in the basements wearing masks make bold statements and predictions to scare people because they are scared. They send out young and impressionable men to do their dirty work, because they are afraid to do it themselves. Do you expect him to say that "the Americans are tightening the noose around our lil network, our days are numbered my friend, lets give up" It sounds like the little worm is trying to rally the troops. I personally am not worried about what he said. The military is currently working to round up these terrorists, im not sure what more needs to be done about this Rick.

Can you imagine the outcry from a certain segment of the population if someone lit up a small nuke in, say, Atlanta? There are folks out there who would do something like that, you know it and I know it. Heck, before they used the Twin Towers for runway 13 and 14, who would have thought someone would do that? My point is, we are all Americans. We all need to start thinking that we need to protect ourselves. What steps are you willing to take to make sure that another 911 does not happen?

To answer your original question, I suggest we stop oppressing the people of the world and using their countries as resource depots. I suggest we stop propping up brutal dictators and then invading their countries after they turn on their former master. I suggest that we stop driving SUV's and moving to the suburbs. I suggest we develop other forms of energy and raise the energy efficiency standards on cars. I suggest we organize as people and throw both the Republicans AND the Democrats out of office and start over. I suggest we limit the powers of corporations. I suggest. . .gawd, so much I want to suggest. Let me stop before I get started.

Apparently, lots of people.

On October 24-26 of 2000, the Pentagon held practice drills in case an airliner was crashed into the Pentagon. The WTC was a known target. The practice of hijacking planes for political purposes has a long and sordid history.

Who knew? Every thinking person. But Bush knew more than that.

Joe, I want to ask a serious question if I may. How old are you?
And btw, nice sidestep. You did not answer my question. I really hope against hope the action does not come to pass. If it does, and someone near and dear to you is killed, I wonder what your reaction would be.

Joe's main problem is he is an idealist and his visions only work in theory, how honorable they are they just don't work. I asked him what the main flaw is in Marxism and he didn't answer. Socialism was tried in this country in Jamestown with its founding. There was a community store that everyone contributed to. Soon, people became lazy because it didn't tap into their natural trait of competition. People became lazy and didn't produce. Other people got fed up and only produced the minimum. Well, this was abolished into a better form that closely resembled capitalism. People started producing more and selling their excess. People HAD to have a skill at something to produce something they could barter.

In essence, it's like Jesus said, (paraphrased) "You don't work, you don't eat".

There is a reason why Communism has never worked and we, as a Capitalist nation, are inundated with people from Socialist AND Capitalist countries. Even the most die-hard Socialist countries have adopted Capitalist methods and principles. I've been to many of them.

Everyone, there is a reason we are the richest, most powerful nation on Earth.......and it's not by accident but rather design.
