hey nate, i don't want to bash Duke (in fact they're my second favorite team), but if you have no doubt in your mind that Duke is the #1 team, then college basketball must really suck. I watched the Pacific game and Duke looked like they had no defense and no inside prescence. They would have been better in the post, had they gotten shelden the ball. They still have one BIG problem, they can't rebound (offensive or defensive). All in all they looked bad, but damn Luol Deng is amazing! He does it all. I'd like to say that it's early and they'll get the rust off soon, but if you hold MSU and UCONN to high standards this early, then you have to say the same about Duke.

As I have already said, it is still early. It applies to MSU. And UConn. And Duke. And every other team. They need time to find an identity, and may struggle. But come January, we will all see the best teams start to play like it.

Duke hasn't killed anyone... but they haven't lost... KU and Duke are clearly the top 2 in my mind... AZ third, UConn fourth and MSU fifth... Duke has shown spurts of the team I believe they are... I like KU a lot too... and KU has beaten a top 5 team so IMO, it's close between KU and Duke... KU was just about as impressive as Duke has been when they played UT-Chatanooga, though...

You didn't struggle? You're biggest lead in the first half was 6! A MIGHTY 6 POINTS AND YOU WERE LOSING FOR A GOOD MAJORITY OF THE TIME.

Hey Terpy and DT--I know why...Bob Thomson is one of the top 5-10 coaches in the country. Just like the Mercy coach, right Nate?

nate, you do understand the difference right?

MARYLAND ISN'T RANKED #2 IN THE ****ING COUNTRY!!!!!
you momo...

everyone fully expects maryland to struggle a lot this season, no one is picking them to finish anywhere near where everyone is picking the all-mighty dookies, but the fact of the matter remains that duke and maryland will probably finish their season's on the same weekend, just like last year...

then maryland would have had a successful season, while your dookies yet again fail miserably...

Well, since we've had control of all of our games in last few minutes of the first half and throughout the 2nd, we should be #1 and because we beat #1 UConn by 16!

All Dook has done is struggled with Detroit Mercy and University of the Pacific.

Yep, Tech should be #1, and since Maryland and UNC haven't struggled either, they should be 2 and 3. And Dook can fall back to about 10. Sounds good.

What a win over a quality team last night. Pacific was so good that they went out and lost to CANISIUS today! 04-bow
