Now go see where you fall on this spectrum.

Were you where you thought you oughta be?
Don't worry. No trap. Just wondering if everybody *really* is what they think they are. . .
I came out farther left and down from Ghandi. . .in the bottom left corner. Shocker, right?

Came out dead even on the vertical line between Libertarian and Authoritarian and 3 click to the right of center. Those were some interestingly worded questions. I wonder if there are other sites who do the same sort of "test"?

Most of the folks I know who have taken it--no matter their ideology--thought it was pretty accurate. Do you think it marked you pretty well? If so, were you the one who voted "left-leaning moderate"?
Did you come down on the bottom right, Kev? Not badgering. Just curious to see what y'all think.
The Libertarian Party has a quiz but it invariably winds up making everybody a libertarian.

I took the test the first time you put the link up. I came out durn close to the area where the Dalai Lama was plotted. That was when I answered the questions as honestly as possible. Some of the questions were easy to answer because they wanted to gauge exactly how much you believe in absolutes, i.e. same sex couples is absolutely wrong, or one should NEVER steal (even if their lives depended upon stealing) and businesses are ALWAYS looking out for your interests, etc.
I took the test again and I answered how I thought my Marine Corps uncle would answer each question. I was then plotted durn close to Adolf Hitler

Okay, JBR, I'm answering this only because you asked. Don't worry; for the most part I'll keep knitting and sipping sherry in the parlor with my ear to the wall, ready to call for the ambulance if it gets bloody in there.
I turned up one click to the right of center and one click into Authoritarianville, the latter of which surprised me because I've thought of myself as liberarian for years. But I think I know the answers that put me there. They had to do with a certain issue which I consider one of human rights, but I'm sure the scoring mechanism thought I was validating Big Brother with those answers...
Years ago if you had told me I would have landed to the right of center... Well, I would have asked for some of whatever you were smoking.
  Of course, then I was about the age all you liberal whippersnappers are now! :)
Just call me Mrs. Robinson. (Especially you, Benj! :roflol: ) And knock on the wall if you need bandages.

I think it nailed me fairly close. I am a believer in less government with some limited controls over the "moral issues". I am a right leaning moderate. I believe in allowing consenting adults to do as they wish, even though I have problems with it. Draw the line with the porn stuff, as I think you have to decide what kind of society you want to live in. Fun to see how it turns out.

Even though I hate his ideology for America, I have to agree with this statment (it really doesn't have any political strings anyways). I came out about a dot to the right and above Bush. Its a lot better than the traditional right-left line, because it includes left-right and adds authoritarian-libertarian. Some of the questions are worded funny and can't always be answered with a strongly agree-agree-disagree-strongly disagree response. Also I didn't get all the questions meanings.
On another random note:
Clicking "strongly disagree" on all the questions get you a (0,4) rating.

I do think it's pretty interesting how this is turning out. I would have predicted that the majority of us would fall under the "moderate" aegis with a slight tilt to the right because of the computer gap.
So far, that's just what I've gotten. Very interesting.
