wow, chapel hill is amazing!

the first thing i saw was a unc firetruck, it had all this unc stuff on it and the whole thing was carolina blue

then after some arguing between me and my father on which way to go, we found the dean dome... and to my astonishment, I GOT IN!!!!!! there was a basketball camp goin, and we just walked right in! i almost crapped myself... it is something i am really glad i got to experience! it had a very big impact on my life, i mean i dont want to sound stupid, but that is really a life-altering experience... but just one question, what is up with the urinals in the dean dome?

then we spent a good long time trying to find the visitors center... we stopped in at the mcd's which was all carolina blue also! that is sooo coool!... and eventually we found the visitors center...

we then went down to the old well, that was awesome! i drank out of it and everyone that drove by was laughing at me... then over to old east, and then down to the student stores, where i spent way too much $$

after that we went down to kenan, but all the gates were locked! so i went around to every gate and pulled on it to make sure it was locked, and then, at the last gate, it was unlocked! i made my dad come in with me and take pix (while my mom stood gaurd at the gate), kenan is a beautiful stadium! i didnt realize how nice it was in there

we then went over to the other stores on franklin st. the shrunken head was closed but the carolina pride store was open and they had some great deals, 50% off on apparal...

we then went off to our hotel... my parents decided we were goin over to durham for dinner... WHAT A FREAKIN DUMP! durham is a dirty poor slum! i dont see how anyone could say durham is nicer than chapel hill...

... and that was it, the end of my day at unc!

sorry it took me soo long to get a response up here guys! thanks for all of your comments, they really helped me out alot! ill get the pix posted as soon as i can

thanks again guys, ill prolly think of more to post later

Nice report Ben, sounds like you enjoyed it here.

That's awesome that you got into the Dean Dome. I had a feeling there would be a camp going on and it would be unlocked. BTW, the urinals are a little weird; it is like a huge wall with water running down it, lol.

I am sure you also enjoyed Kenan; it is really a more beautiful stadium than it appears to be on TV.

Anyways, I am glad you enjoyed your visit. I look forward to seeing the pics or reading any other stories you may remember.

Glad you had a good trip. I'm jealous now. Kenan is particularly beautiful in the Fall when the leaves are starting to turn and there is a little chill in the air that means football season.

I think the old urinals there went all the way to the floor so it seemed like you were urinating on a wall (like Ozzy at the Alamo or something). It was even easier to get a wet foot when some drunk was standing next to you.

Thanks for the report. Hope you come up with some further details and pics.
