The ACLU will be coming to the aid of one of their most vocal critics, Rush Limbaugh. Authorities have obtained medical records from Limbaugh's doctors. Limbaugh, a drug addict and popular radio talk show host, admittedly shopped around for doctors willing to prescribe him pain-killers, particularly oxycontin. Limbaugh was taking around 20-30 of the powerful narcotics daily, until he fessed up, came clean and entered rehab for the third time in five years.

The Miami-Dade Co. sheriff's department, as well as the Florida Bureau of Narcotics prescription drug abuse task force has seized medical records pertaining to Limbaugh's "doctor-shopping." The ACLU argues this is a clear violation of the fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as well as doctor-patient priviledge. They will seek to have Limbaugh's medical records thrown out of court in the event the talk show host is ever indicted for prescription drug fraud.

What does this mean?

Oh....I know! This means the ACLU defends worthless, no-good, idiotic fat drug addicts who make over $10 million a year!

Limbaugh belongs in jail! Drug addicts are criminals, they aren't sick people. Their behavior is criminal and they should have the book thrown at them! :drink:

For once, I agree with the ACLU. His medical records are private. Would you want your records viewed and displayed without your permission? You can't have it both ways KD. Either we ALL have the same rights or none of us have rights. I hope you will get past your hatred for Limbaugh and do the right thing.

Hello Kev! Have you ever heard of sarcasm?

Since you have not, I will explain it to you:

Ever since I started posting in this room (back in the fall of 03) various personalities criticized and demonized the ACLU, mostly coming from neocons like you. Many of the neocons railing against the ACLU have said they are a group of God-less devil worshippers hellbent on turning this nation over to liberals or Saddam, being that there's no specifiable difference between the two. You all have claimed the ACLU is as UnAmerican as Illyich Lenin and Osama bin Laden! You have said the ACLU lawyers deserve prison for some of their positions and clients. Now that the ACLU will defend one of your own, another fellow neocon, then you don't want to criticize and demonize the association of lawyers looking out for all Americans' civil liberties! Instead you agree with them now and I'm really surprised anyone chose to respond. I figured you wouldn't touch this post with a ten-foot pole!

My post was sarcasm, Kev. The last bit being a paraphrase on what Limbaugh has said about drug addicts while he was bonked out of his mind on oxycontin!

I never said liberals are all bad. I am socially liberal. I DO, however, think the ACLU, as a whole, is a despicable organization by supporting NAMBLA and going after the BSA, a PRIVATE organization.
