nate, i'm not sure if you're aware, but the UN is trying to create a sort of "refugee" army to go against the Israelis. It's a way the UN can get rid of the Israelis without getting their hands dirty. there's a column you'd probably appreciate, by mort Zuckerman. When i find it, i'll post.

Gotta love the zombies who get all their info from CNN. Why does Israel continue to develop settlements on Palestinian land after displacing the Palestinians? As for Irsael earning the right to have WMDs...where on earth to you come off saying that? They roll into the mideast, supported by the US and take over someone elses land. They would of been wiped off the face of the earth if the US never gave them all the weapons and money and training and etc etc etc. Heck, the US has to payoff Israel's neighbors in order for them not to attack the jews! Imagine what domestic issues could be solved with the tens of billions given to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel every year. This whole thing with Israel is a joke, unfortunately the US is in bed with them and is screwed. And now we all must pay.

i'd like to know who you're referring to when you say "people who get their news from CNN."

Israel took someone else's land? i wouldn't call taking over a barren, desolate area and actually making it something, taking someone's land. Nobody wanted that land, but it was the only land the israelis could get. Jealousy, is the reason everybody in the mid east hates Israel.

actually it was nobody's land. the palestinian's didn't care about it, but when israel finally made it habitable, the palestinian's whined and complained that it was their's.

If we owe the credit for this problem to anyone, we have to give it to the UN, the liberals favorite organization, and the UK.

You don't know much about how that "occupied" land came to be, do you? Israel was attacked from the Gaza Strip and the West bank by the "Palestinians", Jordanians, Egyptians, and Syrians in the 6 day war in which Israel kicked their arses back to their own land. Spoils of war. Deal with it. They are lucky Israel is even THINKING about giving it back and ARE dismantling settlements.

i'll tell you how the occupied land came to be. It traces further back than the 6 day war.

There were millions of Jews after WW2 with no where to live, so they carved out some land and called it Israel.

Because it's irrelevent to the discussion. The discussion is about the origin of the conflict. The origin of the conflict was the day the UN + US decided to create Israel out of inhabited lands.

Neither... The Israelites were. It is quite important to make that distinction.

Kevin, thanks for proving, once again, that you haven't the slightest flippin' idea of what you're talking about.
