If so.........

<a href='http://www.ajc.com/news/content/news/0204/02goreson.html' target='_blank'>Gore's Son to undergo Drug Counseling</a>

Now......bear in mind, I don't give a rat's arse but it will be interesting to see how the liberals take this as they raked Bush(Both Jeb AND GW) over the coals because of their offspring's dealings with these types of situations. ....and the Bush twins just drank underage. ....something none of us did in college.

I for one think it is especially egregious that these friggen politicians pass tough drug prohibitions while their kids are out getting high!! I also think it's hypocritical of them to speak about family values when they obviously have their own problems and failures. Then they parade their families around during campaign season as if they were show-horses or something.

Bush's kids and Gore's son are just more politicians' kids who have been exposed for some bad behavior in recent years.
Haley Barbour's son is an alcoholic and a big-time pot smoker. But he's an adult and this factoid is often overlooked.

The worst case of this occurred in Ohio several years ago. A tough Columbus area District Attorney and County Prosecutor had to arraign his own 15-year old daughter, who was caught selling acid out of the family's SUV whille attending a Phish concert! The DA was tough on drug crimes and had been re elected four times as he mounted an incredible record putting drug offenders in jail, usually citing harsh mandatory minimum sentences for something as benign as smoking pot.
You know what happened to his drug-dealing kid? She got off with a fine, rehab and community service work. Had she been born to other parents, she'd have gone to prison or juvenile detention, at least.

What we need to do is not take this crap any longer. The next time I see a politician's kid, I'm going to beat him up!

Maybe you could stop seeing every news item in terms of "teams," Kev. . .

I'd say it's really pressing the point to cry "victim" (the favorite cheer of the right, lately) because the son of a moderate ran afoul of the law. He's an individual. He can make or break the law on his own, without any help from the DNC.

Comprehension must not be your strong suit. I guess neither is sarcasm.

A moderate? The same guy tht invented the internet and beleives there should be no cars because they pollute. If Gore is a moderate then Clinton is a hard righ conservative.
