"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime .... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real...

Here is what I was looking for............

From your beloved Mr. Kerry

"Kerry: "What saddens me most is that Democrats, above all those who shared the agonies of that generation, should now be refighting the many conflicts of Vietnam in order to win the current political conflict of a presidential primary. The race for the White House should be about leadership, and leadership requires that one help heal the wounds of Vietnam, not reopen them; that one help identify the positive things that we learned about ourselves and about our Nation, not play to the divisions and differences of that crucible of our generation. We do not need to divide America over who served and how."

"We do not need more division. We certainly do not need something as complex and emotional as Vietnam reduced to simple campaign rhetoric. What has been said has been said, Mr. President, but I hope and pray we will put it behind us and go forward in a constructive spirit for the good of our party and the good of our country."

Welcome to the world of American politics, Rick!

Republicans have lambasted the other side for years because they were "tax and spend" democrats and they used the military for "nation building" and they want to "provide amnesty to illegal aliens...." and on and on and on.

The parties are just the same! They do stuff and then criticize their foes for doing the same thing. This is American Democracy at its best! :drink:

I know, Rick, and I'm sorry. Really, I am.

It's just so easy to categorize every conservative as a knucklehead. Sometimes I flip off the nice ones like you, too! My bad.

Anyhay, you really are serving the interests of Corporate Greed by supporting that illegimate Commander in Thief. That was my point.

And I do want to know where you get all these great quotes. You are the quote guru! 04-bow
