Isn't lying an impeachable offense?

We're in a hostile region Huskie. What do you expect? It would be the same way if we were to declare war on gangs here with the military. How many times have we been attacked on our own soil since 9/11? None. They're too busy trying to get the infidels of "Muslim" land. That's a good thing.

We could invade Tunisia next.
Them darned Muslims would be so distracted, they wouldn't know *what* to do. It would be brilliant!

You've completely missed the point.
Of course terrorist attacks didn't go down. We've destabilized a country - granted, it was led by one of the biggest bastards of our lifetimes.....
But once again this administration has released flat out lies in an attempt to curry public favor. And the State Department now says it was a lie.
I expect my leaders to be damn sure they know what the hell they're talking about before they take significant actions like invading a country. They continue to show me that they either don't know, or they're purposely misrepresenting what they do know.

Im sure the terrorists would have much rather bombed a US train as opposed to a Spanish one, this suggests they are incapable to carry out such an attack on US soil at this time, probably due to security in the US, and the critical condition of the terror cells themselves which have had their backs broken in our war on terror, these terrorists groups are less in numbers, money and weaponry they are in effect, reeling. Sure they wanted the new president to win in the election as well but the fact is Al Q and some other terrorist organizations have lost much of their command and control and lack ability to carry out what they were once capable of.
And as far as the theory on insurgents 'mostly' going after occupying forces, not true at all, they have targeted in addition to military and govt personel, civilian women and children, humanitartian aid workers, religious leaders etc etc.
