Some of the players you wont agree with as far as their ranking, some you will. I didnt agree with #7 but did agree with the #1 player. Oh and before anybody says anything, the reason I dont agree with #7 has absolutely nothing to do with #8 being placed under him. Anyway check out the site and see what you think for yourself

JD since no one else saw the post, whats your opinion on it? As I said a couple of players at the bottom I would move up, and I dont believe Woodrow Dantzler is 7th out of 50 players, hes a good player and could be in the top 50, just not that high

I definitely agree about Dantzler. This is somebody we made look like a high school scrub last year -- in his senior season. There are much better quarterbacks who were more of a winner than Woody was. I think it's a travesty that he was ranked higher than Joe Hamilton. He deserves to be on the list, but not that high....
I was also disappointed to not see Leon Johnson on that list. If statistical categories are valued as highly as they apparently were for Dantzler, then the career all-purpose yardage leader and second-place in career TD's (among non-QBs) should be on the list somewhere.

A few disagreements:
Dantzler shouldn't be in the top 15.. simple as that.
Joe Hamilton should have cracked the Top 10. He shouldn't have been way up there by any means, but he deserved a top 10 spot for leading the first team to win an ACC title post-Bowden ACC.
Not bad, but I'd love to see what that would look like from 1985 on.

I will agree with Woody being ranked too high, but he should be in the top half. I agree with most of the names it just looks like some of the more current names got higher places just because they are more current. That might explain why Woody was so highly ranked. I know evey schools going to think that one of their best players was left off so here's mine. Rod Gardner. He was the greatest WR in the history of Clemson and has already shown he can produce in the NFL. (Led all rookie WR's in receptions while playing for the Redskins). Other than that it looks like a complete list to me.

I would have ranked Torry Holt higher -- probably #10. The first offensive player in ACC to dominate the Noles (it was UVA's defense who handed us our first loss). Also, I think Tiki Barber should have rated higher, by at least six slots.
That said, #3 should have been #1, #10 #2, and #8 #3. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />
Otherwise, a great list.

Dantzler ranked higher than Weinke and Hamilton doesn't seem right. Woody was an outstanding player, but to say he's #7 all-time is a joke.
I agree with NoleCat - Torry Holt should be higher than #15.
Pat Swilling (#24) over Ken Swilling(#37)? No way!
No Warrick Dunn? No Shawn Jones? No Raymond Preister? No Dan Majowski(sp?)? Huh?!?

EJ Henderson will be on the list after he graduates this year. He already has one player of the year honor to his name. Julius Peppers does not have that and is up at 17. If EJ has a repeat performance, we're talking about someone in the top 10. Maybe even up in the top 5.

I say that Woody Dantzler should remain in the top 10. I mean come on, he broke records that no QB has done before. You either have mobile running type QBs or passing QBs. Woody was special because he was both and the best at being both in NCAA history. The rest of our team may not have been up to par with him - that's why we lost a few games. He passed for 2000 and ran for 1000 in the same season - that's a busy job. So yes, they picked him and he is #7.
P.S.
Joe and Weinke were great.. but only at passing.

TIGERFREAK, Joe Hamilton could run, he gave the Noles an extra option to work with on the field, while giving me fits at home, he might be small, but he played big. Danztler is good, just not top 10 good. Yes he did have alot of yards passing and just as many rushing, but they lost some big games also, and who is the first to blame besides the head coach after a loss?? The QB. Against the Noles the last closest game you guys had against us was in 99, when it was Bowden Bowl 1 17-14, after that, its been blowouts with Woody as QB. I also look at a QB on the run as either a breakdown in the O-Line or his WR's are just covered and cant get open, the only time a QB should run is during the option or not to get sacked. Charlie Ward was another scrambler, but he won the big games. I for one like the pocket passer, scrambling QB's to me are for ESPN highlights or for extra points in the Heisman voting. Dont get me wrong about Dantzler, he was enough to give defenses alot of trouble, but at the same time, because of games he won and lost, I just dont think he should of been in the top 10, top 25 maybe.

Garnet & Gold,
I understand where you're coming from. Yes, I also like the pocket passer but the people who made the list evidently did not. Also I knew that Hamilton could run, but he couldn't run like Dantzler. Also yes, we did lose some big games and it's easy to look at the QB for blame. Because of the losses you can't just throw it all on Woody. He just didn't have enough elite athletes around him to get the 11 or 12 W season. My point is he still is a great player and broke an ultimate record. Even though we lost a few big games, check his numbers - he still got his 95% of the time - I promise.

No Clarkston Hines is a joke. So is no Robert Baldwin.
Chris Douglas could be in there in two years, he's already arguably the best RB in the ACC.
