Most of us on this board are
college educated, many have
served in the armed services
of our country, we know that
war is hell. War is horrible, but
so is the violence that is
on our streets everyday,
much of it due to drugs,
and thugs that refuse to
make an honest living.
Yes, we could visit the
morgues and come up
with equally graphic
images of children
killed by knives and
guns and baseball bats.
My point? You are trying
to use these images to
make your point against
this war, while ignoring
other wars and other
acts of violence. They are
ALL bad my friend, that's
one thing we can all
agree on. ALL BAD!

In the link I provided, the first 7 quotes were made prior to Dubya's election.

But my main point was that government in general - regardless of political stripe - has started wars based on dubious pretenses. Not just Republicans or "neocons" (btw, why have I never seen the terms "neolibs" or "the religious left"?).

Schadenfreude is saying that Saddam had nothing to do with orchestrating 9-11 (which I happen to agree with), much like Bush-Cheney had nothing to do with orchestrating it.
