As opposed to someone who tells lies that send our children off to die for fictition and ever shifting reasons?
Think before you type.
It will be interesting to see if Kerry gets elected, how long it is before we are in another war. You know its going to happen, just look at all the predecessors, and I wonder if these anti-war people will desert him like they did Clinton. Remember Ohio State in 98 before the air strikes against Iraq, Albright getting booed and jeered by the anti war left. But all of a sudden voting democrat will bring the troops home. I actually hope Kerry wins becasue the next four years would be entertaining, I bet Michael Moore jumps on board when we raid Somalia again.
Speaking for myself:
I know we are stuck in this ****** hole mess for a long while. Voting for Kerry isn't going to speed up getting folks home, necessarily.
What is going to make voting for Kerry this November nearly orgasmic for me is the knowledge that he has enough common sense to keep us out of ****** hole messes like Iraq in the first place.
This is my belief:
Put ten Democrats and ten Republicans (including Bush) in a box. Shake it up. Pull one out and install him (or her) as commander in chief on Sept. 11, 2001.
Twenty times out of twenty, we kick Taliban ****** just like Bush did.
But only one time in twenty do we invade Iraq in the haphazard manner we did -- and only when Bush is pulled out of the box.
Bush concocted the Second Persian Gulf War in his head. This is my firm belief. This was a war of choice, and I don't believe any other president -- Republican or Democrat -- would have sent our troops into Iraq. It was such an abundantly stupid thing to do when our presence is so desperately needed in Afganistan to, like, catch the guy actually responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 massacre. We have 15,000 troops in Afghanistan, which is still ruled mostly by warlords, much as it was before we went in. And we have 135,000 troops in Iraq, which had nothing at all to do with the Sept. 11, 2001 massacre.
It defies my comprehension and it always will.
If there is a hell, I firmly believe Bush is going there.
