I realize that our men and women are doing good things, but we went in under false pretenses, and I seriously disagree with this lying administration. We have lost the moral high ground through no fault of our troops but a failure of leadership.

What false pretense? We went in to take out Saddam. We knew damn well we weren't just going to leave the country in ruin after we took him out. This is all part of liberating the Iraqi people. You're complaining about school supplies. Well, my contention is that most terrorists, Atta, UBL, and a few others aside, are products of illiteracy and deceptive governments, Ie. Saudi Arabia.

Hmm, let's see, most of the Hijackers came from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has a VERY high illiteracy rate. The Mullahs there are very rich and deceptively preach out of one side of their mouth that the US is the great satan while acting as our friends out of the other. Literacy, as I see it, is the key to ending terrorism as most terrorists are illiterate and the ones that aren't have a religious agenda, however, most won't do the dirty work. Any questions?

Terrorists are literate. Many of the religious are literate over there and vice-versa. Some of those nations have quite high literacy rates, but consider the closed society in which they live. Most Saudis, for example, don't have access to information that Americans and Brits have access to, because ultimately our societies are open.

Terrorists do have a religious agenda, which has a historical precedent. Consider the religiosity of the Ku Kluz Klan and the anti-ZOGists here in America, operating under our noses.

To a certain extent, the Bush-junta has a religious agenda as well. Likewise, the Bush-junta will not do the dirty work.

What kills me is that we are spending more money on Iraqi kids than we would ever spend on American children. WTF?
