Edwards, talked about companies outsourcing jobs overseas as if the practice began in the last four years, this practice began in the early 1990’s.
As for tax incentives to do this TOTAL NONSENSE!!! The big driver for this practice is the cost of Skilled labor in India, Russia and China is about 10% of what it is in the U.S. With this kind of labor savings, there doesn’t need to be a tax incentive for companies to outsource overseas!!!
Someone, anyone, show me in the Tax Code the Tax Incentives for U.S. companies to outsource jobs overseas the Democrats keep talking about. You can’t because it doesn’t exist!!!! No one (Democrats or Republicans) really wants to acknowledge the real reason, 90% LABOR COST SAVINGS!!! What kind of Voodoo tax code can the Democrats come up with to incent companies not to outsource and give up 90% Labor Cost Savings?

When is someone going to point out that Bill Gates, a fairly liberal personality, was big into this practice w/ Microsoft. In the early '90's as you mentioned.
And do you think that none of Warren Buffett's companies (or companies he's heavily invested in) outsource overseas? Coke, Gillette, Pampered Chef...

One of the effects of prior presidents' (note plural to include Clinton who in 8 years could have slowed or stopped this if he wanted to) free-trade policies has been a slow but steady and ever-increasing exodus of U.S. jobs overseas. Though economists consider this good news, believing the economy will be more efficient in the long run, such beliefs are anathema to politicians of both parties.
Kerry has pledged to slow offshoring down, using a carrot-and-stick approach of giving companies tax breaks and incentives to create jobs at home and closing corporate loopholes that reward companies for operating overseas.
But will it stop the flow of jobs offshore? No more than King Canute could stop the ocean tide, many economists said.
"You can't repeal the laws of economics," said Brusca of Fact & Opinion Economics. "Wages in China are so cheap, that you'll never make labor cheap enough in the United States to compete with that."

How about Al Sharpton promising 10 million jobs with Kerry?
Do these people think we're total morons?
I've yet to hear any of these idiots explain HOW they're going to do ANY of their promises- and that goes for Kerry.
Of course, Kerry is still trying to figure out what decisive stand he's going to take on every issue he's flip flopped- that is, if that day ever comes.

Didn't you hear, he already decided to take a stand and support the time he served in Vietnam, even if he did spend more time protesting the war then time he actually served.
Is it me or is that a flip-flop?

Are there even 10 million people unemployed? Hell, 5% of 280 million is only 14 million. I am sure that there are millions upon millions that don't even work, Ie. babies, children, retirees, millionaires, etc. What an idiot.

Kerry has also promised 10 million jobs.
Since Clinton created more than 20 million -- and I'm talking *net*, over eight years -- this isn't unreasonable at all.

Since presidents cannot create jobs (except in government bureaucracies) but can only create adverse conditions for creating jobs (in other words, the best thing that a president can do is to promote the removal of barriers to productivity and investment), I reject your thesis. However, many of these "20 million" jobs were in bubble industries that, just like the investment in "potential earnings", blew up in the bursting of the bubble.
