Even though I disagree with alot of you on political topics I want to turn you guys on to a stock a buddy of mine turned me on to. Sirius sattelitte radio. Traded under SIRI I just bought 300 shares yesterday at 5.58 and it's up to 6.60 today. His broker tells him to get out at 10.00. You guys can thank me later!!!! :) :) :)

What's to stop a clever person with adequate hardware from descrambling the signal to get free radio? How could the company ever find out they were successful? Hmmmmmmm....

Actually XM has nearly 4 times the subscribers, although Stern will help immensly thats still 1 1/2 yrs away.

I hope you sold it, with today's report in the WSJ, it kinda fell.

Sold at 9.03. It went up to 9.55. Bought back in at 8.80. Should of stayed out for a couple of days.

Just found this thread while searching for something else. I always like to see how people's stock market predictions go. Dogger, not so good over the long term, but fsquid had this one nailed.

A good encryption program that can't be easily reverse engineered... DirecTV's last two encryption algorithms were pretty much impossible to break (not enough computing power to break it in a reasonable amount of time). The latest has yet to be cracked, and the version before that was only cracked because someone stole the plans for the algorithm.

Sorry Graybeard, I'm not a stock tip kind of guy. I just dabble in a little bit for fun as a hobby. Basically, my portfolio is 60-70% mutual funds or closed end funds. I play with the rest of the 30%. I made a nice play on AMD and GME in the 4th Quarter of '05. I sold those a week or 2 ago and haven't gotten into any others yet. If you are looking for a good fund, I'd look at the international ones first.

So did you get out? It's almost back to where you bought it. I hope you got out when it was in the high sevens back in Dec.
