The husband of a woman I work with was there... he just got back from Iraq (and before that Afghanistan), and came closer to getting killed at a concert in Columbus, Ohio than he did in the war zones! He had a great/sad story about it, was in the front row right in front of Dimebag when it happened. He was the person who actually pulled his body off stage and was trying to cover the wounds (to obviously no avail). The fan who ran up on stage after the shooter was 2 people down from him in the front row, and he saw all of that go down as well... sad story indeed.
