Could see the Big Unit heading to the Bronx and Shawn Green (among others) switching teams if this pans out.

well,the deal is done.

Yanks get: johnson
d-backs get: penny, brazoban and green
dodgers get: javier vazquez, dioner navarro and eric duncan

Here's my analysis. if winning now is the way the yankees want to go, then this is a great trade. johnson, pavano, wright, mussina, el duque, is a win now rotation. the d-backs lost their team, but did get a very good starter (penny), who might still be injured, a great up and coming young reliever (brazoban), who coincidentally was given up by the yankees in the kevin brown deal, and shawn green who will hit for more power in the BOB. The dodgers are enormous losers. if they got the yankees vazquez and not the expos one, then they are screwed. as for navarro and duncan, i would hardly call them great prospects. they are utility players. either depodesta is extremely stupid, or he is trying to sign a) beltran or b) odalis perez and drew. No matter which choice they choose, they're still going to suck. here is their team at the current moment:
C- ross and navarro
1b- choi
2b- cora
ss- izturis
3b- kent
lf- werth
cf- bradley
rf- ??????
SP- vazquez
Sp-weaver
sp-ishii
sp-jackson
sp- none

Rp- gagne
rp- sanchez

that is not a team that can contend with the giants, or even the padres.

I thought the D-Backs were strapped for cash? How in the world have they added Glaus, Ortiz and Green's contracts in the last week?
