You think Iraq is a mess now, imagine if Al-Sistani is killed.

No smiles here, just contemplating how people can still think this president is doing a good job. Total ineptness is what comes to my mind. Smiles, sorry, no smiles.

So now Bush is responsible for Al Sistani's aids being killed?

I'm just contemplating by what reasoning someone would think that not even 2 years into this everyone in Iraq should be singing the Muslim version of Kum Ba Yah and holding hands? Building a democracy takes time. Winning a war against insurgency takes time. Most people understand this.

Well when we went on this foreign policy fiasco the insurgency was characterized by ole Rummy as dead enders. Now we are looking at by some estimates 100,000-200,000 insurgents. (1) Now if you consider the IRA has some 500 active insurgents in England and you see the trouble that they have been able to cause throughout the years you get some idea of what we are faced with. Listen, it's W's baby. It's the pottery barn rule, remember. So for the the question, How is Bush responsible for this mess' o potomia? I would start with the rush to war and having no plan for the reconstruction as a reasonable starting point. Most people would understand this.

(1) This morning with George Stephanopolous.

Ah the ole "rush to war" montra. Maybe you missed it, but that dog hasn't hunt in a while.

A year and a half build up is not a "rush to war".

We are not even 2 years into this whole thing. It takes TIME. It's not going to be all goody, goody over night. Most people understand this, I'm thinking you don't.

You know Niner,

I'm not being sarcastic here. There is something to be admired in someone who sticks to their guns. I'm reminded of the scene in the Titanic movie when the guys just play their violins as the ship goes down. Now the "Iraq" ship isn't sunk but it's taken on some serious water.

Will you at least admit that there was no plan for the reconstruction. Is that too much to ask?

On another note. Powell sure has served W well. The guy is nothing but class. I for one will miss this moderate voice.

Iraq is a problem, no one disputes that. It's bad. But who expected it not to be? There were going to be problems, that was a given. No one thought that the terrorists and former Baathists would just go quietly. You don't reverse decades of oppression and tyranny over night. That's a basic concept.

I've stated there was inadequate planning for the occupation. I've stated Rumsfeld should have resigned. But we are where we are and it needs to be fixed. And rehashing old arguments from years ago isn't going make it any different. We had an election. The american people voted on Bush's handling of his job and your guy lost.

The analogy you used is more appropriate for liberals vendetta against Bush. That USS Kerry sunk 2 months ago. You can stop playing now.

Liberals this conservatives that, beggining to sound like some prerecorded message. I;d like to tell the ultra liberals and ultra conservatives to f*** off. Life is not linear,no one can tell me what ideology is best. Some of these people remind me acient mob mentality that percecuted people because their ideas did not comform the the present day thinking. It is the people with free minds, non followers that change the world. Educate and try to think for yourself, life is short live right.
