Now 7-0, with a 1.08 ERA, definitely been the best pitcher in baseball so far.
I watched the game tonight (first baseball game I have watched this year), and Willis has total confidence in his defense. He threw a first pitch strike to almost every batter. That Marlins defense is a huge reason why that pitching staff is so good, and they weren't even playing with Castillo tonight.
Also, when Willis pitches at home in the white unis, his fastball is almost untouchable. It already seems like 95 with his strange delivery, but when you add that it comes straight from a white uniform, it seems like 98. He normally only throws around 91-92.
Oswalt pitched well tonight, but just lost to a better pitcher.

Overall, I agree. But this year, Willis has been much better. Credit some of that to the fact he has a better team behind him.

Oswalt is better than Willis. But, man, D-Train is bringing it right now. He's pitching better than his amazing start in '03. Can he hold up for a full season this year? That is the question.

He's had trouble holding up in years past. He has a 22-7 record before the All-Star break and a 8-11 record afterwards.

Yeah, that's what I mean. He's never put together two great halfs. If he does, you can print playoff tickets for the Marlins.
