Quote:Clinton Accepts 5-Year Law Suspension
By Pete Yost
Associated Press Writer
Friday, Jan. 19, 2001; 1:26 p.m. EST

WASHINGTON –– President Clinton has reached a deal with prosecutors to avoid indictment, requiring him to make a written acknowledgment he may have misled investigators in the Monica Lewinsky case and agree to a suspension of his law license, government sources said.

White Water wasn't why he got his license suspended.

Darn Dogger you're average went back to .00000000000002.

Niner,

Good memory on the WWII reconstruction post. I knew you did it but couldn't remember the context.

On a side there were 3 definitions of sexual conduct and Clinton's lawyers got the prosecution to eliminate the 2nd and third criteria for the depostition. He took the deal to avoid any further embarassment. By the letter of the law he NEVER LIED. Believe me, there will be some bigtime payback one day with some Republican over that travesty. There was something a couple of months back where a Republican Senator who was retiring said the whole Clinton thing was retribution for Nixon. People on my side of the aisle will get even.

Clinton admits misleading testimony, avoids charges in Lewinsky probe
President's law license suspended for 5 years

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Clinton will leave office free of the prospect of criminal charges after he admitted Friday that he knowingly gave misleading testimony about his affair with Monica Lewinsky in a 1998 lawsuit.

Independent Counsel Robert Ray

Under an agreement with Independent Counsel Robert Ray, Clinton's law license will be suspended for five years and he will pay a $25,000 fine to Arkansas bar officials. He also gave up any claim to repayment of his legal fees in the matter. In return, Ray will end the 7-year-old Whitewater probe that has shadowed most of Clinton's two terms.

"I tried to walk a fine line between acting lawfully and testifying falsely, but I now recognize that I did not fully accomplish this goal and am certain my responses to questions about Ms. Lewinsky were false," Clinton said in a written statement released Friday by the White House.

our side is terrified, what with your side having really kicked fanny at the polls recently. so long as they're steaming, it'll be tough to serve that cold dish.

Your sides abuses of power will be there undoing. There's plenty of misdeeds on both sides, but God Help the next Republican to wake up with the "dead women or live boy" scenario. Has anyone heard nationally about Tom Noe. He was the NW ohio chair fund raiser for Bush/Cheney 04'. He has the federal govt. investigating campaign finance laws. He also has about a million dollars in coins missing from a Bureau of Worker's Compensation fund he was in charge of. Just wondering if it hit national news yet.

Dogger,

Why is it that everyone but you seems to find supporting evidence for their claims, yet you spew nonsense with no support whatsoever? Is it that difficult to look things up or is the problem that there isn't any supporting documentation and everything you spew is an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory? Just curious.

I had not heard of that, but if he broke the law, he should be dealt with accordingly. If you had included some supporting evidence, maybe there would actually be something to discuss.
