Quote:WASHINGTON (AP) -- Advocates of rewriting the USA Patriot Act are claiming momentum after the House, despite a White House veto threat, voted to restrict investigators from using the anti-terrorism law to peek at library records and bookstore sales slips.

Authorities have gained access to records through voluntary cooperation from librarians, Gonzales and FBI Director Robert Mueller said.[QUOTE]

If so, whose fault is it since the law requires a search warrant for access?

No, the law does not. Under Patriot Act provisions, over 22 times in the last 18 months police have invaded a private property WITHOUT a search warrant or even a bench warrant. They used the Patriot Act terrorist provisions. How many of these people were terrorists?

DING DING DING!!! Zero of them.
