A court order NOT to read a book they purchased? :bang:

The gift pack is a nice incentive. It's market based. It's based on trust.

The court order is pathetic. Would such a court ruling be handed down in the US? Sadly, it very well might. It would also make me defiant and want to release info, rather than cooperate.

Damn, are all judges everywhere just getting stupider?

I don't think that can be enforced, but if they TALK about the contents of the book and it gets publicized, I think they could be in for real trouble. It's not like they can't narrow it down when there's only 14 of them.

How long until the store is sued by Rowling?

You're probably right. But he!!, this sort of publicity is probably great for Rowling. Even if they did talk, they could only do so much. This just whets the appetite of people even more...especially 11 y.o. kids.

Contestants on reality tv shows aren't allowed to reveal the outcome of the show or they'll be touched up for a few million. Is that unjust, too?

That's part of the agreement they sign and receive consideration for. It's called a "contract".

Dude, your efforts to reject everything are unflattering to you. Check out that old middle eastern proverb recorded in the book of Proverbs chapter 17, verse 28.
