Here is the content of the letter from Curt Weldon to the "9/11 Public Discourse Project" (9/11 Commission), which makes an interesting read.
Does anyone have any real insight into where Weldon is coming from, and why this information apparently eluded the 9/11 Commission?

I ignored the story for a few days because Weldon's claims didn't seem to be believable. I posted the link because it came through on a listserv that, IMHO, has a good track record. I respect Lee Hamilton, vice chair of the commission, more than any other polititcian I can remember, so I tend to lend a great deal of credibility to their statement here. There doesn't seem to be much common ground with the Times article, though.
For a semi-partisan (though I've lost track of which side of the aisle is claiming we didn't do enough ) rebuttal, Media Matters has this to say (in regard to the New York Post).
