Well folks, we are 3-0 and headed to NYC. I don't think we could have pictured a better start to the season. However, Kansas is the #2 ranked team in the land. They are awesome; they have a great coach and extremely talented players.

It will be a learning experience for our young team playing against such a highly ranked and well coached team. I think our kids will take on the challenge though. Madison Square Garden is the Mecca of basketball; it is center stage. Our kids are ready to prove that we are for real. They want to show that UNC basketball is back. They want to show they can play and defeat the big dawgs. After sort of a let down against ODU, Doherty and the crew will be fired up for Wednesday night!

If we win, it will be huge! If we lose, we will learn from it. Playing against such a classy, talented team will only help us in the long run. We will learn to make adjustments and changes so that we will be able to compete on the top level. Our guys are young, and I don't mind a few losses here and there if it is going to result in more wins in the long run (especially when it is to the #2 team in the country).

I will post more thoughts later, but overall I am hyped. Go HEels.

If we give them a game, then it will be a great learning experience. If we get blown out of the freakin' building, then I'm not sure what it's gonna teach our guys -- other than the fact that they have a lot of work to do.

I hope it will teach them the importance of discipline and patience. Kansas has experience and talent too. I'm afraid that our guys will come out too sky high and get sloppy. If so, Kansas will take advantage of that.

It's good to play with emotion, but eventually the adrenaline wears off and good teams come back on you. Apparently, we looked sluggish today, maybe they were just looking ahead.
