This Saturday our second biggest rivalry, or the 1st to some folks, will be played and it seems no one is talking about it... that doesn't seem right!

At least we know who will be the quarterback - Chris Rix and I found out that the team is no longer fretting about him. Seems they didn't like it that he wasn't doing his 6am chores - whatever they were, but since being benched in favor of AD, he now understands that he needs to do them. So now, let's hope that the wide receivers remember that they are suppose to catch the football

And where have all the gator fans gone to... guess they're off watching their basketball game... 03-wink

I'll talk about the game. The gators are still riding high over the Georgia win (the worst football game I've ever seen BTW) But they're just as worried about FSU as they were about GA. Face it; Spurrier is gone and so are a lot of wins for UF. FSU has had problems, but like UF, they are a very talent rich team. Coaching advantage - FSU, home field advantage - FSU, talent level - even, kicking game - FSU (if x-man hasn't been on the take as A D apparently was - which explains the lousy performance against NC State). FSU will have to run the ball in order to win(as will UF). That is the only thing i'm worried about. Maybe the shake-up this week will motivate some lineman to open holes, and Maddox will be healthy enough to perform to his highest capability. I would certainly feel better with Jones running the ball but injuries are a part of the game. I definitley am happy that Rix will be behind center. I always thought him better than A D, and if it's true that A D threw the NCS game and shaved points from other games  I just hope that this isn't a black/white thing going on at the Doak as some people have insinuated. If so Bobby needs to clean out the whole bunch and make examples of all of them. Going to be really interesting to see what happens this week. All I know for sure is that I sell FSU and UF stuff for a living - so I'm going to make out either way! But I do want my noles to CRUSH the gators and will be cheering them on this Sat.

Well, welcome to the board btdt 04-cheers and thanks for your reply. I haven't heard anything about whether Maddox will be able to play this Saturday night, but I sure hope he can. I've always liked the way this young man could run. I heard that they put a brace on him at the NC State game and that he was having a hard time with it (not being used to it or something to that effect). I, too, like Chris Rix as the quarterback. I just hope that with this off-field problem, that is doesn't affect the rest of the team in preparing for our big game with Florida.
