Got in my DLX ED today from Amazon....

Bass got a little boost and it seems like the dynamic range is better than the original cd. Just been doing the main album right now. Probably hit the live and demo cuts over the next few days.

I love this album. My gateway into getting into Metallica from that point forward. And even enticing me for going for the back catalog

Got reminded today that the 30th Anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind is the 24th! Man, the memories of this album's whirlwind to the top of the alternative rock charts and the start of Grunge coming to the masses. I liked Smells Like Teen Spirit and In Bloom, I had someone dub a tape of the album and I liked--didn't love it--but did like it. I found this album to be one of the odd ones where these guys could pull off pop sensibilities to the alt rock genre. I found his lyrics to either be non-sensical or genius.... it all depends on what side of the line you fell when listening to it.

My top two albums of theirs are Nevermind and Unplugged.



And the album cover, considering the movement it started and came from, seemed like a political statement with the naked kid swimming for the all-mighty dollar in the deep end of a pool.... and considering some of their political leanings, it being a male baby might also be part of the political statement.

So yeah... been on this lately..


Newest album was GREAT. Love the Morothead cover... the whole album is fire.


Underrated follow up to their debut... I loved a lot of the songs on this one...felt like a better overall effort.


Had the OG version with Cop Killer on tape.... but.... Anyway, the cd version I got later when I got a cd player was the one where they dropped that for a metal remix of Freedom of Speach. Killer debut and had several AWESOME SONGS. My anticipation for this one was very high and Ice T delivered with a great band and great songs... I honestly like BC's catalog a little more than his rap catalog... Ohh, and I managed to get a Napster download of Cop Killer.
