RE: What music are you listening to right now
I was never a Frankie Valli fan, but I always loved "Can't Take My Eyes off of You". It's a crime that it never reached #1 on billboard. Too many people were on drugs back in 1967.

I love this 2020 version (ILY by Surf Mesa) based on the original. I think it retains the soul of Valli's. Emilee Flood's voice is perfect for this song, even if this version is light on lyrics.

Fun fact: both the Ramones and Peter Parker are from Forest Hills
(That's a neighborhood in New York)

I love the Ramones. They were my favorite band in the late 70's and early 80's. I'm old. I saw their last concert in Texas at Lollapalooza in Dallas at Old Fort Dallas back in 1996. Sadly, within a year of that show Joey died.

Did Social Distortion open there too on that tour? By that time the Ramones were pretty bad onstage, at least Joey was, and Mike Ness and Social D blew them off it, literally.

No. Social D was not on the tour that year, but I saw them in concert later that year at the Abyss in Houston. Great venue for shows. Now, Rancid was on the main stage and they were great.

Metallica and Soundgarden were the heavy hitters that year, with Soundgarden stealing the show. They preformed an unforgetable rendition of Black Hole Sun at dusk. The sky was this odd hue and there was a very comfortable cool breeze after a long hot day. It was an eerie experience. Too bad it was in the days before phones took videos. I wish it were on Youtube.

Wu Tang Clan was also on the main stage, but didn't really impress me. Sponge and the Melvins were on the side stage and were really good.
