Why did they give those kids the absolute worst recordings of the songs.

Sabbath was regularly played when I was in high school. I saw them live much later at the Palace of Auburn Hills [Detroit] in 1998 for their Reunion Tour.

One of my favs from the Dio lineup Mob Rules album...

One of my favs with Ozzy...

Good stuff Dale. The Melvins were huge influences on grunge rock and Kurt Cobain. Speaking of grunge...

Beautiful cover of Black Sabbath's Changes. Charles died a couple of years back.

Wild Flower is a great song. My favorite from the Electric album was Love Removal Machine. I used to always get the dj to play it at The Sports Pad in downtown Greenville back in the day.

Their next album, Sonic Temple, has my favorite album cover of all time, and makes a great poster.

I always loved that album's Edie (Ciao Baby), even before I knew what it was about. It's based on the model and actress, Edie Sedgwick, whose life was screwed up by Andy Warhol, ultimately leading to her death.

Bob Dylan, who never liked Warhol, tried to warn her off from him. His song, Like a Rolling Stone, is thought to be, at least in part, based on her. Like a Rolling Stone is considered by many to be the quintessential rock song. His cynical views turned poetry were nothing like the pop music and love songs filling the airwaves in 1965.
