On another note, does Mark Ruffalo do any movies that arent meow chick flicks???

F$ck dude. I watched that movie for about 10 minutes on a plane. I couldn't stand it. Reese Witherspoon licks a$$. Haven't seen "Walk the Line" yet, so hopefully she redeems herself. I actually thought she was a good actress prior. "Election" was a good movie, and I thought she did a superb job in "Cruel Intentions." To be honest those are the only Witherspoon movies I've seen. Oh yeah, "Fear" was decent too.

From VH1's Metal Month programming:

SAW Def Leppard, Hysteria on VH1 this week. Basically its the origin story of the band up untill Hysteria released. Quite a good movie. Interesting how the started out with how all the band members joined to form current line up ( YES I know that Vivian Campbell is now the repalcment guitarist for the late Steve Clarke but that happened after Hysteria). I belive it is a made for tv movie but not sure.

SAW The Decline of Western Civilization II. Basically it is a documentary on the LA Metal scene circa mid 80's. They interviewed/tlaked too/showed footage of the follwoing bands: faster Pussycat, Posion, Motley Crue, and Kiss. Also did the same for local musicians that were in relaitivley unkown bands or just commenting on the scene. Talked w/ Riki Rachtman, owner of the Cat House at the time, and has all his comments o nteh scene. Had some interviews w/ some "metal chicks" too.... LOL they were funy. Decent as time travel tv but that is about it... I think part I (that I caught a LONG while back) mainly talks to fans and the culture of being a metal head.

Real MOvie of the week

MI3

Basically it is a combination of MI1 and 2. Basic plot is that Ethan Hunt is now a trainer for future IMF team members however he gets drug in to active duty after one of his trainees gets kidnapped and tortured by the main villian. Have teh usuall masks and what not. I'll keep the what goes down off of this post so not to spoil the movie. they have soem really cool FX..especaill the portable maks maker.

Check it out..its definatley a good one.

You know, this actually makes me sound like a Reese Witherspoon fan. :shhh:

Watched Munich last night....

Not that is a bad drama but the pacing just couldn't keep me into it. From the way I think the movie plays out you have the Muncih Olympic assasinations by the Black Spetember organization and then it gets into ISrael hiring this assasin and his team to take out the members of the hit squad Black Spetember and along the way you meet the middleman who provied names for people who are looking for those types of people. And brings up the issue of the whole Middle East thing w/ Jews, Palestinians, and other Arabs and their views on the matter. I ofund hte middle man and his boss wuite ain intersting point of emphasis. Also the team concept of taking out Black Spetember and the team members and specialities in doing assasinations was cool.

IN short it was good movie but I didn't like it if you know what I mean.

Also viewing this week:

The Omega Code
New World ( The Colin Farrell pic)
and Swingers

Just saw Munich. I agree, that it was hard to follow, esp right after drinking heavily. But I pretty much concur with the gist of your take on the plot. My only fault lies with the fact taht the film might have been "Speilbergized." Don't know the exact details of the original mission, just what I've heard. I enjoyed it though.

Saw a couple of movies. Saw Garden State. I thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of this flick. What a sweet movie. Beautiful, funny, charming, killer soundtrack. Natlie Portman rocks. 04-rock

Also saw Million Dollar Baby. Great movie. Hillary Swank is cut. Great actress. Almost cried towards the climax. Though I completely sympathize with Clint Eastwood's character (not that I've been in that situation :shhh: ), it was so sad to see her in that condition.

Saw Pleasantville. Loved it. Ok, before I said I wasn't a Reese Witherspoon fan, but I thought about it, and she really is, probably the best actress out there today. Stellar flick. It's about a brother and sister that get transplanted into a '50's sitcom, and their actions totally reak havoc on the picturesque little town. Good stuff.

Shut up Treasure. 02-13-banana I didn't really give it away. As for new movies, X-Men blows and Praire Home Companion was great. Praire Home Companion is about this Western Themed Variety show that's been aired live on the radio for 30 years, and they are on the verge of being shut down by the radio station. Superb acting from the entire cast, esp Meryl Strep, Lilly Tompkin (I think that's who it is) and John C. Reily as well as Woody Harrelson. Pretty funny, with some dark humor.

X Men did blow, hard. Lots of action, that went nowhere. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Don't waste money at the theatres, unless you're a huge fan. I'm not really, but I thought the first 2 were widely entertaining.
