Seems like the Lady Heels win the title every year. Santa Clara knocked them out in the semis (there goes Deep Blue's theory 03-wink), and the Portland Pilots took home the championship.

Why doesn't Tech field a Women's Soccer team? I think you are the only school in the ACC that doesn't.

I've wondered that myself. Is it something to do with the athletic budget at Tech?

Partly budget, I think...partially the fact that Tech has fewer women percentage-wise than the other ACC schools (although it has definitely increased in the past 5 years). Tech is looking at fielding a men's soccer team in 2004. I don't know what the plans are for a women's team. Tech does field some teams that not all ACC schools do, for instance, men's & women's swimming & diving teams that placed quite well this year.
