Sims was in Athens a couple of weeks ago and said, "I heard UGA got a few more recruits. They're in a position to have one of the top classes in the country, and they're telling me I could be the difference-maker. I loved my visit there. and I have a real connection with Coach Richt. When I decide, it will be between 5 schools and Georgia will be one of them."

Sims is not expected to make his pick until national signing day on February 5th.

WR Whitney Lewis - is a former teammate of Lorenzo Booker. Florida State currently leads for the talented receiver over USC, ASU, Texas and Miami.

He's the one...Booker's best friend...

Remember we also signed Chris Davis last year, but
he was hurt before the season started.

He has just enrolled at Florida State.

Dishon Platt? Did he make the grade to get in yet...

Here's an article about Dishon Platt...

WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Platt still has FSU plans in his future

PUNTA GORDA -- The career path of DiShon Platt is taking another course, which he hopes will bring him back to his original destination.

The former Charlotte High wide receiver is planning to attend Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Miss., with the expectations of eventually landing at Florida State University.

Platt confirmed his intentions while watching the Dr. Alpern Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament at Charlotte High School.

"I'm leaving in January," Platt said.

Nearly a year ago, Platt announced he would attend Florida State, but he failed to qualify academically.

He considered attending and playing for Jones County Junior College. Bobcat coach Parker Dykes visited with Platt, even having a plane ticket for him to Ellisville, Miss., but Platt decided to decline and weigh his options.

Platt was attending classes at the University of South Florida, where he was in good academic standards, with the hopes of becoming academically eligible and playing with the Bulls.

But his hopes of one day playing for the Seminoles has taken him on the junior college path again.

Pearl River coach Tim Hadden plans to come to Florida next month and personally escort Platt to Poplarville, Miss. Platt's intentions are to play at Pearl River, which finished 6-3 last season, and eventually land in Tallahassee as a member of the Seminoles.

"I want to play in front of a big crowd," Platt has said.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder was the second-ranked wide receiver and 16th overall prospect according to Rivals.com caught 69 passes for 1,055 yards and 15 touchdowns during his senior season with the Tarpons, after leading the state with 1,470 reception yards as a junior.

Go Seminoles - Neuter 'em Dawgs 04-cheers
