08 PG Jordan Theodore
Jordan Theodore, a 6-0 PG from NY lists us in his top 3 along with Marquette and Gonzaga on Rivals. According to the article we have not yet officially offered but the others have. He is a Rivals 4-star and Scout 3-star. Other current offers include St. John's, Seton Hall, Rutgers, and Cincinnati.

By 08 we will need to be looking for a backup PG.

A short article on Theodore w/photo:

It appears Cal, Martin and company are really looking for guards in NYC/NJ, and there are a lot of them there. Either Kemba Walker or this kid sounds good. The Tigers have offered Walker, so it may be that they're waiting for his decision before offering Theodore--or it's a first-one-to-commit situation.

Interesting to hear Theodore's coach saying his jump shot is coming around; according to this, he can really score and distribute. I wonder whether the recruitment of these two players means the Tigers are not sure about Tim Ware of BTW.

I also wonder whether the Tigers might try to get involved with SG Mike Rosario of Jersey City, NJ St. Anthony's. This player's stock is really going up, and he's a shooter: 59% from the field, 45% from the 3-point line, and 79% from the free-throw line. The local recruiting analysts were projecting him to commit to St. John's, but apparently that may not be a done deal. The local schools, particularly Rutgers, have gotten back into the picture, along with some big schools.

It's great to hear they're really hitting the NYC/NJ this hard, and getting such interest from players there.

I was wondering about Tim Ware as well. But Cal signed Darius when Andre was coming as well. The word around Andre wasn't too positive but he still ended up with the Tigers. If Ware wants to be here, I hope he is.

Paterson (NJ) Catholic's junior combo guard Jordan Theodore will miss some games because of an injury, the Herald News reported Thursday. The 6-foot-1, 165 pounder's jaw is wired shut. He sustained the injury during practice.

Coach Damon Wright said Theodore will be out until at least next Wednesday; after that he'll be 'day-to-day.'

His school list includes Memphis, Miami of Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Gonzaga, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Illinois, Arizona, St. John's, Louisville, Florida, and Cincinnati.
