Mike Davis (Georgia RB) commits to Memphis
Rivals reporting that Mike Davis has committed to the Tigers.

He is listed by Rivals as 5-11, 227, 2-star. Rivals lists offers by UCF, Miss St, and MTSU.

Doesn't mean he's winning to 100m. ;-)

Looks like more of a battering-ram, up-the-gut runner. Apparently was also offered by ECU.

Scout has him at 6' .5", 223, with 4.7 40. CAlled him a powerful runner who can play TB or LB.

Offered by MS State and he wanted to go to Ga TEch

With this commitment, we can probably write off Elliot. I'm guessing the staff was waiting to see what happened w/ Elliot before they offered Davis.

I wouldn't necessarily think Davis commitment has anything to do with Elliott. It has been speculated that Davis has been a commitiment for a while, and will more than likely end up being a LB and if he does end up in the backfield, it will more than likely be as a fullback. Greg Hinds is a senior. I think the Tigers are looking at Juco RB Curtis Steele as the RB (Steele had his official visit this weekend) if Elliott goes to Mississippi as expected.

Davis has been a Tiger for almost 2 weeks. Fullback or Linebacker. No one I have talked with thinks Elliott is going to Ole Miss. In fact they are sure he isnt. Could be a major misread but I doubt it. I am also not so sure about Steele.

Mike Davis 5-11, 227 has nice size for a blocking back . Allso has the size and speed for the makens of a LB.
