nate jonesacc Wrote:Yeah... Duhon really sucks... That's why he led the ACC in assists and was top 5 in steals and #1 in PGs for ******/turnover ratio.
Shav's role was to be a scorer? Really... So, how often do you talk to Coach K?
Fofana may be big, but so is Liquid Karma. Does that mean LK is gonna tear up the ACC next year? Maybe in a beer drinking contest , but not basketball. Size is only good when coupled with skills. Good example... Eric Williams... He's huge, but he's developed great footwork over this year.
Gilchrist never turns the ball over... really?
Well what happened to Jamar Smith this year? I thought he was supposed to "pound big men into the ground" this year? What happened?
Face it, Maryland will be fortunate to make the NCAA tournament next year.
I see that you sir are an idiot. If you are going to try to tell me that Jamar was supposed to start over two seniors, then you are just dumb. You have yet to see him play.
Now, let's clear up a few things. Duhon did NOT lead the ACC in Assists, Steve Blake did, followed by Felton, followed by Duhon. He was # 4 out of 9 teams in steals (wow). Duhon did NOT have the #1 assist/turnover ratio, again Steve Blake did. Duhon followed him there too. So, do me a favor and check your stats before you ramble off some crap. (all information was from the official ACC website in case you want the truth).
As for Fofana, I can't speak for him yet but people have compared him to a Mike Sweetney (which will work fine for me). Shav's recruiting info lists him as being a scorer, that's where I got that.
As for Gilcrest, I will say it now that he will be a more effective point guard than Duhon as a Sophomore. In case you missed every MD game, you would know he is consistant and a great ball handler, unlike Duhon.
I'm not going to say MD will win it all next year, but don't dare count these two past recruiting year's out. These guys are good.
ps. next time bring your facts with your big mouth.
