All of Roy's staff is here in Chapel Hill with the exception of Ben Miller. Miller has remained in Lawrence, and might be hired by Bill Self to be his assistant at Kansas. Hopefully, Self decides to keep Miller, and then there will be an opening on the staff for Phil Ford. If we get Ford, UNC hoops will be set. A combo of Roy/Phil on the recruiting trail would be dynamite. I don't know when Self will announce if he is keeping Miller or not, hopefully soon.

I agree with you, adding Phil would be the best thing to complete the staff. Sounds like he'll start entertaining other college offers if Roy doesn't pick him up. That would be a shame as he's such an assett. :D

Welcome jwaybrant!

It would be smart for Self to keep Miller, because the players seem to really like Miller, and it would provide him with a link to someone who has been a KU and knows the system.

Doesn't look like Phil will be on the bench next year. I guess there is the slightest possibility that he could still be part of Roy's staff somehow, but not that way I wanted him to be.

Many people have different opinions on Phil; people think he is either really important to UNC hoops or he really isn't. Personally, I think Phil is one of the bricks that built this UNC hoops tradition and has helped keep it alive. He has done amazing things for the program (like keeping it together) without even being on staff. He would be an incredible recruiter and teacher. The players love him.

I just hope Phil doesn't leave this program if he isn't given some job on the coaching staff. He is UNC hoops, and it just wouldn't be right without him around.
