Aldridge is probably the 2nd best player in that class behind Dwight Howard. Sure Aldridge would have been nice, but it isn't like we had all of our marbles in him. There are plenty of big men out there to get, and we will get our top notch recruits, just be patient.

In a way, that decision surprises me. Aldridge was at one point pretty close to committing to UNC, and that was with Matt Doherty as Coach. Now with Roy Williams in place, he chooses Texas? I wonder if Williams had been recruiting him at Kansas, and had backed off.

Rick Barnes is a great recruiter. He can schmooze as well as anyone in the business. Texas is stocked full of recruits. Watch out for Texas in the future, Barnes is building a program. BTW, Aldridge is from Texas so that is home for him.

I think if Grant had good knees Roy would'nt need Aldridge. The big question is can the big boy keep up with Roys up tempo. If he had problems being pushed last season he's in for a big surprise next season
