I've just noticed lately that when you refer to Duke, you type a lowercase dook.
Just curious...any reason for not capitalizing it? Is it just a way to degrade them as much as possible?

Yes, but I mainly just do it out of habit now. I've been doing it so long that it comes naturally... like signing my own name.
It all comes with being a Tar Heel -- as a student and fan, you learn that "dook" is the way to refer to that school over there. "Dook" is giving them too much credit.
It's all in good fun, though. If I'm on a dook message board, I'll type "Duke" so as to be respectful (well, mainly to keep from getting banned).
