1) does 11 teams still allow for a round robin basketball schedule?

2) does 11 teams still allow for a round robin football schedule?

11 for now. It will be 12. Everybody can deduce that.

It could even be 12 before the end of the month.

With either 11 or 12 teams, we'll have to have a schedule like the SEC and Big 12 - each team will play the 5 (or 4) other teams in their division every year, plus 3 alternating teams from the other division.

Not entirely. Same concept as the f'ball schedule - each team will play the other 5 (or 4) teams in their division twice, but only play teams in the other division once per year.
