Ms.Nole,I'm looking foward to seeing what Chris Davis can do on the field also.
This past spring I heard he made fools of the walkons trying out for the team, embarrassed some of the FSU secondary in passing drills (mostly the second team) and he can flat out fly!!
I think someone cloned Charlie Ward and Peter Warrick and came up with Chris Davis   some people also have him being much faster than Warrick  OUCH!!
If you ever get a chance to see his videos from spring practice, you'll see what I mean.
Unbelievable moves, even for someone coming off a knee injury, this kid is awesome. I really truly hope he lives up to his expectations as his knickname says...."The Elusive One"!!
It also shows what kind of Wr's FSU has, hes playing backup to Cro Thorpe and Thrope has speed to burn also

I read an interesting remark the other day.

An unamed ACC coach wrote that the ONLY
place where the ACC has closed the gap on
Florida State is at QB. The coach went on to
write that if FSU had the "right kid back there"
they'd still be winning 11 every year.

For over 10 years FSU had a rotation...Redshirt
a QB his first year. Then he "backs-up" as a
Freshman and Soph. Then he starts as a
Red-Shirt Junior. That's three years of learning
the system before being given the starting nod.

It was only broken when injury forced Weinke to
take the helm as a 40 year old Soph.

In trying to be fair to Rix...This is his Junior year,
when he should have become the starter...Instead
of being thrown into the fire as a red-shirt freshman
after the intended starter at that time..."The kid from
the state of Washington"...I forgot his name was
kicked-off the team.

11 starters back on Defense...Jones, Washington
and the big version of Warrick Dunn...Lorenzo
Booker as tailbacks...a bevy of wr's. And an
anticipated renewed confidence...(over 80% of
the team remained in Tally during the summer
working out on their own)...

Try to envision having to kick-off to Florida State
with Washington and Davis as the deep men.

The opener ain't far off...
