Q&A with Dave Telep- on Derrick Rose (from Depaul.com)
This is just an excert from the part of the article that is about Rose

Most guards in the country don't have the skills & gifts he has at the point guard position. Derrick has different gears and different athletic attributes. He is as explosive A point guard as you will see. When Derrick becomes more comfortable in his own skin, is more assertive & realizes it is ok to take over because your the best player on the floor. He has the potential to become one of the best point guards in his generation.

high praise from Mr. Dave Telep

The #1 guy I've heard people compare Rose to is Isiah Thomas.

Rose is all of that and some. I can't figure out why Mayo gets all of the #1 press because this kid will be an NBA All-Star but hopefully not until he wears a Memphis uniform.
