SL has indicated he would like to play with JR. hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm, curiouser and curiouser........Congrats to JR and to UNC. I honestly feel Roy thinks Grant and Sanders can fill the 5 spot, so he is not too worried about a big guy. Tis good to be a Heel.

I'd sure wish I knew what was really going on.

This still leaves questions. They're still recruiting. All scholarships are "taken". No big man.

JR may be an excellent player. Probably is. We have a fair number of wing players already. Will Noel not get a scholarship? What about the transfer point guard/walk on? I know he's got to sit a year, but still he is another extra body that we may or may not have room for.

I guess I'll just continue to trust Coach Williams and his staff, but the waiting for all of this to shake out is killing me!

.....yes JD you are right, I am here and I am overjoyed :D. JR Smith is an awesome athlete (see Vince Carter or David Noel), and it is great to have him aboard. With all the egos and complaints these days, it is really special to have a guy like JR Smith, who genuinely has wanted to be at Carolina his entire life. Roy has assembled a very talented 2004 class that could possibly include 1 or 2 more players. The future is definetly looking good.

The Bomber- it is strange that we have yet to get a big man, but Roy must know what he is doing. Either 1) he doesn't think we need another big man, 2) he thinks these other players are more valuable, 3) he thinks we could still get a guy like Randolph Morris. First let me say that I think May will be around for at least 3 years. In addition, I believe that Roy probably believes that Sanders and Grant will be able to develop and play significant roles in the future. Remember that Sanders and Grant will only be in the second of four years this year.

I look forward to watching the recruitment of Shaun Livingston and Randolph Morris play out. It would be awesome to get a verbal from one of them.

P.S. My work load this year at school is killer, and I have my other activities, so sorry if I am not around as often. I do view the boards frequently even if I don't have time to post.

Of course getting Ginyard is good and I would suspect that a good big man would like playing with the kind of recruits Coach Williams is getting because they could keep the middle opened up for them. Good size out front also means players who can pass over people to feed a big man. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't think we will get a big man anytime soon. Cross your fingers for Shaun Livingston though.
