With a "Better Attitude" for the season...
Perhaps we should ask why?
One "possibility"...The hiring of Kevin Steele...the
former Head Coach at Baylor.
He has an excellent resume...6 years at Nebraska...
LB coach for the Carolina Panthers when they were
within a game of the Super Bowl...
BUT...That ain't it...
The replacing of the man who was there before him!
Joe Kynes...
IS....
A great many things are kept out of the public's eyes,
but I don't believe a person has to be a scholar, to
see that Kynes and Mickey Andrews didn't mesh
well together.
No doubt...Kynes was running his mouth, right along with
Bouldin, Tatum, Gardner and some of the rest.
Steele didn't have a great deal of luck at Baylor...but his
Linebackers at NU...could play...and I believe our 'backers,
have and will perform better with Kynes and his ancient ways
gone.
We need a win on Saturday to cement our recovery...
With a depleted TECH...a better but still Dook team...and a
Colorado outift, that gave up 35 points to Colorado State...
we could be looking at 5-0 when the 'Canes come to town.
5-0 would bring with it...CONFIDENCE...
In a private email...I had told someone that I was looking for
40+ points against Carolina AND our defense had to hold them
in single digits for the "Dominant 'Noles" to return to form.
Had 37 after three and a shutout...
I think 30+ against the Terps...and keeping them from the
20 point barrier would single a 5-0 start...and much more.

The tropical storm in the Gulf is heading towards Cedar Key, or so the weather people are predicting right now. Shoot, it can hit us here in Tampa for all I care, as long as it doesn't affect Saturday evening's game in Tallahassee.
So Paul, what do you think the score will be against Maryland? The paper is giving the Noles 14 1/2 points.

Good Question...
'Noles 35 Terps 17
Maryland continues to list Perry as (doubtful) which
means they may try to play him. Our Defense is
for real. Offensively, this will be a real test...but
the defense will create field position for us.
As usual...'Noles have too many weapons and a
real defense to create a "short field"...
Terps are obviously better than what they showed
last week...butt top ten caliber teams don't lose
openers to MAC teams. No matter how good their
defense is...they can't stay on the field all night long.
