It's all in the hands of the Tiger defense.
Georgia Tech WILL shut down the run and force the pass all day, and thus stack the backfield for the pass.
Even with 3 and 4 man fronts, Tech will put pressure on the quarterback.
Given the OL troubles I've heard, there's no real solution for the Clemson offense.
Rush -> Stopped
Pass -> Remove the big folks for WR... easier to pass rush
Hats off to Clemson if they manage 2 TD's vs. our D.
That leaves the game up to our offense to win.... thus the Tiger defense to prevent.
Well, let's see ...
1.) Clemson rushed for 138 yards against Tech. This is not a huge total, but it is twice the amount Auburn and FSU rushed against the Tech defense.
2.) I can't remember more than 1 time in the entire game that Whitehurst was hurried or sacked.
3.) No real solution for the Clemson offense = 39 points and the biggest blowout vs. GT in 100 plus years of football between the two schools.
4.) I'm not a math major, but 39 points amounts to over 2 TDs scored by our offense. Hats off to Clemson I suppose. lol
Swagger, we all like you and respect you and this post is nothing more than a friendly jab. However, please don't let those loonies in the armpit of the South (Columbia) affect your thinking processes anymore than they already have.
I loved my trip to Bobby Dodd. The renovations are wonderful and the fans were very kind. Clemson had ~12K fans and were very loud. 39-3 ... GO TIGERS!
