GROWING DAILY: FSU's commitment list continues to grow with the additions of Pace fullback Joe Surratt, Miami Northwestern cornerback Trevor Ford and Jacksonville Raines offensive lineman Cornelius Lewis.
Surratt (6-foot-1, 245 pounds) played at the same high school as former 'Noles quarterback Thad Busby and current FSU defensive end D.J. Norris.
Surratt, who also visited USF, picked FSU over Auburn, in part because he thought he'd get an opportunity to play next season in Tallahassee, where injuries and depth have been a concern at fullback the past two seasons.
Ford (6-1, 180) appeared on Sunshine Network's ``Countdown to Signing Day'' and announced he will sign with FSU, choosing the 'Noles over Miami. Ford credited the relationship he has developed with FSU linebackers coach Kevin Steele and also said he is eager to attend the same school as his god-brother, Derrick Baker, who runs track at FSU.
Lewis (6-3, 312) chose the 'Noles over North Carolina.

Trevor Ford also has a friend already on the football team..Clifton Dickson a defensive lineman that signed with the Noles last year.
Are you ready for the BIG announcement Sunday night??
QB Xavier Lee will make his announcement, its between us and Auburn.
Floridas all time record holder in passing yards, completions and TDs also named 2003 Mr.Football in Florida.
His step brother signed with the Noles last year and that right there tells me hes coming to FSU, he said family had a big part in where he went.
Hes #10 overall in Rivals Top 100 (#2 QB).
Not to mention we have Drew Weatherford as our other QB, looks like things will shape up nicely for a QB battle in 2005.

Thanks, I'll be around, especially now that the recruting process is really starting to pick up.
How's the Yellow Jackets coming along with their commits?

Drew Weatherford played his high school football here in the Tampa Bay area (Pasco County) and I got to follow his senior year. He was quite impressive.
QB Xavier Lee - will he be making his announcement on ESPN? Hope so, cause then I'll get to see it. He sounds like the kind of QB the Noles can use. :D
And NOLES , welcome aboard.

A lot better than I would've thought. We got 5-star WR Calvin Johnson and a couple other 4-star guys. I think we need to pick up another D-lineman or two, but our guys look good on paper. Chan Gailey has done a great job closing the deal on a couple of big name guys.

Thanks MSNole
I dont think it will be televised on ESPN.
As far as I know Lee is making the announcement at his highschool banquet on Sunday and I have heard nothing about ESPN being there.
Probably because everyone knows hes going to pick the Noles so it wont be a suprise.
He really wants to play with his step brother Anthony Kelly who signed with the NOLES in 2003.
Kelly is an outside LB 6-3 225 and runs a 4.6 40, some speed coming out of that family!!

I like the fact that two top 20 DT's are interested in coming here. Both big guys who could play right away. Chances are, the way Mickey rotates personel, it'll happen anyways.

The two I would love to have playing for us is Aaron Jones and Pressley from North Carolina.
Pressley has alot of pressure to stay close to home, but he said FSU is even with North Carolina and NC State, I doubt we get him though but you never know
As for Jones he will make his announcement Wednesday, its between us and Miami..hopefully us.
Now!! In 24 hrs!! The long anticipated announcement from Xavier Lee!!
I can't wait for that one!!
