Kaiser asked the same question on his thread, and this is what I said there:

The voting really shouldn't have even been that close. Any PG that can step right in and take control of a team like he has definitely deserves the ROY. Like I said a few weeks ago, the real key how valuable he is. Take Deng off Dook's team and they are still a top 10 team. Take Paul away from Wake and the Deacs wouldn't have won more than about 15 games this year IMO.

Well deserved. I don't know many people who are fans of the ACC that would agree with that choice.
